Reserves Suffer Another Heavy Defeat

The reserves were yet again undermanned and looked to be patching up postions around the park against the ladder leaders, Hampton Park who were yet to lose a game this season. We had Chooch in goals after Daniel withdrew with knee complaints and the side was again re-shuffled.

 

The game began with the reserves having there backs against the wall and playing a team that was brimming with confidence, but the spirit of the reserves looked to be shining once again with the game was being played on the home sides terms and they looked to be on there way to an upset.

 

But Hampton Park had other ideas and killed the reserves on the counter in the first half hour scoring two goals in quick succession to kill of thoughts of an upset. The reserves rallied and tried to peg a goal back and came close on numerous occasions but just could not find the back of the net, which has been the story of the year. Hampton Park added a third goal just before half time after some loose defending and made the game safe at half time leading 3-0.

 

The second half came about in a different game style with the game opening up across the field but yet again the reserves couldn't put a finish to all there hard work and it was Hampton Park who put the finishing touches onto there victory adding another two goals to finish out the game 5-0 winners and remain undefeated on the top of the ladder. Great effort to Chooch in goals! Maybe some ball work on Tuesdays and Thursdays might be a "Master Chef" recipe for success!!!
